<description>I recently planted an orange tree in my back yard. I am planning to plant a lemon tree about 20 feet from the orange tree. A friend told me that if I plant them so close together, the lemon tree with cause the oranges taste sour. Is this true? Please advise.

------------

I don&#039;t know the answer to this one, so I would suggest calling your local extension agent to see if this is true or not.

I did read that you can graft lemon branches onto an orange tree and grow them both at the same time though!
